As BEKDIK, we are one of the leading Turkish brands that submits the analysis of international reports on honey for the knowledge of its customers. The analytical reports we give to our customers are for the packages of the honey selected by the food engineers in our company, which are thoroughly checked and analyzed in the whole process from acquisition to filling up. Thanks to these analyzes, the best quality honey suitable for production are selected.

For international analysis, the sample taken from the honey tank prior to filling is sent to the laboratory of Intertek Food Services GmbH – Germany for final control in the German city of Bremen. The lot number given starting from pre-filling preparation phase includes the amount of honey, the analysis values and the information of honey producers. This lot number is printed on the labels on the packaging in the filling phase. No national honey brand that you have seen on the market does not produce the honey itself, nor does it have the opportunity to do so, and each company supplies honey from the same place, ie beekeepers. There are over 10,000 beekeepers in Turkey.

The tip is you should know what you are buying; if you want to buy 100% smooth and problem-free honey, there is only one way to understand it, which is to analyze all the honey you have bought. As BEKDIK, our procurement process in delivering the right food to the end user is as follows:

In stage 1

The beekeepers send samples of the honey they want to sell to our factory. Analyzes of samples are carried out in our laboratory and if there is no problem with the sample, the beekeeper is asked to send the samples belonging to that sample to the factory.

In stage 2

As a result of the analyzes made on the sample, the honey whose sample is found to be perfect comes to our factory, and the a certain amount of product sample is collected again from each tin no matter how many honey tins are available, and this collected sample is analyzed again in the laboratory in our factory. It is sent to the Argefar lab in Ege University, where it goes through a series of analyzes, and if the results of the analysis overlap with the results of the analysis of the previous sample, they are sorted according to their region and placed in the warehouse of our factory.

In stage 3

The honey all analyzes of which are made in our factory and within the body of Ege University (ARGEFAR) and taken to our warehouse are taken to the boilers according to their regions and production amount in line with the instructions of BEKDIK and finally the samples are taken again from these boilers and all the analyzes are sent to the Intertek laboratory, which is a neutral, internationally accredited lab in Germany, to be crosschecked. The results of the analysis carried out in the Intertek laboratory are sent to us via e-mail and after the product (honey) comes out to be 100% perfect, the filling process starts.

In stage 4

These analysis reports from the Intertek laboratory in Germany are recorded in their original form. This process has been continuing since 2008 when we went to the domestic market as BEKDIK and will continue as long as we are in the market.
